Vidmar, Lazaridis - The Twilight of the SocceroosHeard this morning that Socceroo's old boy Tony Vidmar has signed with the Central Coast Mariners or the "Marinators" as we here in Sydney prefer to call them. Honestly, who thought up that name? and more to the point, who honestly thought that it was a good one?  Another Socceroo in the twilight of his career joins the A-League as well as Lazaridis and a smattering of others...guess that's what we were all hoping for. Better then them going to play for the Qatar All-stars anyways.
Anyway, enough Marinator bashing, hope Tony has a good season. He must still be wrecked after missing the world cup only to be operated on and then cleared to play again. Maybe his frustration at missing the World Cup will come out in a few red cards? Hope it does when they play Sydney FC...
