German Grand Prix

After another round of testing before the summer ban the German GP has arrived, maybe for the last time. Alonso won last year and I expect him to be up there on one of the steps of the podium again. Toyota has made a lot of progress and it now belives it's one of the top four teams. I think Massa will get his first career Pole and Win this race. The one and only thing i really want to see this race is some relaibility for Mark Webber and a less boring race. What you guys reckon?
Roy

I think Ferrari will be much faster as there very fast in a straight line while the Renaults are made more for twisty tracks hence the reason they've been off the pass these last few races. Although i do expect them to be closer to the Ferrari's as they've had some upgrades done to there cars arodynamics etc.

I'm sorry to say this but i don't think Williams will be very good at this GP and it might mean Webber having to pull something special out of the bag in order to make it through to the final 10 in qualy.

I dont care who wins as long as Webber finishes the race.

I'm inclined to disagree, i think webber will easily make q3 as he and nico seem pretty confident that th car has had another step in performance. The only think i think holding either of the williams out of q3 is traffic or lack or planning. (ie nico should get out of marks way regardless of whatever he is doing Wink )
Roy

Perhaps your right and i hope you are right cuz i feel sorry for Webber cuz he reminds my so much of J.Herbert with all his bad luck even though he was a good driver.

i want the old hockenheim, even though it was just a drag, it was nice going through the forrest.

again my opinion its ferrair v renault... and we shall see how renault do on the faster tracks, however only the 2nd straight is a quick one, ther rests are medium with the tricky stadium section, so it shall be interesting to see the tradeoffs if that is the case
Roy

True although i think Ferrari will be very strong here and maybe even McLaren as well.

Have you thought about doing an F1 predictions league i know its perhaps to late this season but you could use the remainder of the season to see if it will work. Wink

What a shock to see kimi on the front row... Hope he does alright. I think the ferrari's are still quicker tho because if you look at the q2 times michael did a 1 13 where as kimi's pole is a 1 14. I hope it makes for an exciting race

wooohooo mclarens are back!!!! Very Happy
yes and lets hope it wasn't a shock, but probably just carrying lighter amount of fuel i would hate to say
Roy

Well Ron did say he was going to be agressive coz they need to show there hand and starting 6th or 7th isn't any good. To be honest though i think its about time McLaren done this after all they can add more fuel in at the stops if needs be.
Yeheti

yea I always thought last year that if they fueled kimi different in quali to get him on pole he could have won more races. Cause from what i can tell kimi is damn good off pole, almost always wins

btw peoples race is on ch 10 @ 11 30pm for the aussies

The FIA released the provisional German Grand Prix grid on Sunday morning, with just a couple of changes at the back of the field.

Midland’s Christijan Albers drops to 21st following his Friday engine change, while Jarno Trulli’s similar Toyota swap on Saturday puts him 20th. Race debutant Sakon Yamamoto goes right to the back due to qualifying in Super Aguri’s old car and then switching to the new SA06 for the race.
