Did someone say Tea and Scoones? The British GPWell this weekend its the british Grand Prix, a bit earlier this year beacause of the english's fetish with feet and a ball. After Monaco i hope there won't be much dram with this race, although it wouldn't be F1 without drama. Last year it was 1. Montoya, 2. Alonso and 3. Kimi. And with Giancarlo in 4th it was a Mclaren Renault Affair. I'd say much the same is going to happen again this weekend With Renault and Mclaren going to dominate, with some Red Horse in to mix it all up.
Williams will be a bit of a wild card this race and i hope they'll both be up in strong points positions. The other scraps will once again be between Honda, Toyota, BMW, Red Bull etc. JB has already reuled out winning so dont expect to see the hondas too close to the front.
I havemt said much about the tyre battle this year but last year Michellein Dominated, but i think both tyres this year are very close. On that note a sad moment last week with the passing away of Eduard Michelin.
Anyway Enough Rambling, The Race is on Channel 10 (Again...) at 10 30 PM AEST. Check your guides!!!!
Who do you think will win?

Well I hope Webber does but have to stick with the man and car of the moment Alonso.
|
Roy
|
I want Raikkonen to win this weekend because i'm bored of Alonso and M.Schumacher winning everything.

I would agree with everything except Kimi winning.

Roy

I would like to see Webber do well this time because he's had so much bad luck this season with the reliabilty problems of the Williams.
|
Yeheti
|
Yea he's quite easily the unluckiest man on the grid

i would say kimi is the unluckiest... i read some where that he shares the record of most wins in a season without winning the championship. he should have had two by now. and it looks like webber is following in kimi's footsteps.

Webber should do what Kimi's doing and move to a better team that more reliable ie Renault.
|
Cheesman
|
There have been some rumours that he might be leaving to Renault, I guess we will have to wait and see.
|
Roy
|
Well Renault could have two empty race seats for next season because Alonso's off to Mclaren and Flavio is'nt to sure if he wants to renew Fisichella's contract. Raikkonen might either move to Ferrari or Renault and M.Schumacher looks to be staying on for another year. Massa would either move or become a test driver if Kimi joined them Webber could replace Fisichella because i think Webber could become world champion, he just needs a team strong enough and reliable enough to do it.

I agree with Roy. I see Massa as a test driver.

Yea Massa is going to get shafted, he really hasn't had a that stronger year at ferrari. I'd love to see webber at Renault it'd be like my dream come true, aslo there is alot of speculation going arorund that Kimi might join Renault as well as they are on the hunt ofr a superstar driver and i think his manger was seen talking to flavio at monaco

well kimi said he only wants to drive for 3.. im guessing they are renault, ferrari and maybe mclaren if they want to re-sign him and drop montoya

They would drop Montoya no problems, i think Kimi's moving to Ferrai and will announce this towards the end of the season because he thinks McLaren might treated him different to Montoya as Ferrari are one of there biggest rivals.

I'm looking forward to seeing Kimi at Ferrari

i think after all his bad luck at mclaren, he deserves a reliable team.
|
Brazilian Chap

aye, the bloke needs a decent car after all
|
Roy

Thats why i think he's going to move to Ferrari, because they are the most reliable team on the grid and have been for a very long time.

Wurz Tops Practice Prac 1, Kubica Fri Prac 2
Hmmm... maybe the williams will have pace again i hope so, i doubt the saubers will have any guts to match it at the front tho ya never know...
All will be revealed later today
Go Go williams!!!
|

williams and other lower order teams get to run the test drivers with unlimited revs since they are not under the engine restrictions... so you always see them at the top. hopefully that pace is kepts when they turn the revs down, as it would be awesome to see weber do well. he so deserves a win.
|
Yeheti
|
Yea i agree, stupid engine rules, making the 1 and 2 drivers use lower revs to conserve engines sucks, i still hope it's a good indicator of speed. except for BMW, i dont like them... they;ve been up the top quite a few times on fri prac, nothing ever comes out of it in the race. i swear they just blow an engine on kubica every week so they can be #1 on friday's lol

A sad day for Webber and Williams in fact its a bad day for Button as well, this is going to be a good race tomorrow and i hope Webber does score points. I agree Webber does deserve to win a race and a championship or two would'nt go a miss either hint hint.

Yea very interesting qualifying... I don't see how the williams qualified so badly... i guess thats what happens when you one hot lap. I was surprised to see JB back there when rubens is so far up, maybe the english pressure finally got to him. Apprently MS was surprised by the 2 cars in front of him, anyway i say he is just stuck up.
|
Yeheti
|
btw kimi put in a blider of a lpa to get to where he is, all skill cause apprently his car is pretty slow, he said he didnt feature much in any of the speed traps. hopefully he'll have a good race too
|
vivboots
|
if his car is slow i can see him struggling on the long straights... could be a trade off between how slow his car is and how much extra fuel he will be carrying if any.
|
Cheesman
|
Im not sure what Williams problem is this weekend but they are very slow something has to be up. Hopefully Webber can navigate his way from the back and get some points. Look for Schumi to win this.

I did'nt watch all the race because i found it boring this time with Alonso winning again anyway because i did'nt watch it all i'll put a link to a site that sums up the race for those who also did'nt watch it or missed it.

woot kimi on the podium... knew he was going so stuggle, at least only gave up one spot. bad luck to webber. and jesnsen button went out in style. besides that pretty average race.
