| Quote: | Juventus star goalkeeper Gigi Buffon will be in Queensland in January to run a private coaching clinic.
Buffon will be joined on the visit by his Czech girlfriend, actress and model Alena Seredova. The two have been regular visitors to Australia in recent years but this will be the first time Buffon will mix his work with pleasure.
"Australia has produced some very good goalkeepers," Buffon said.
"They have Zeljko Kalac at AC Milan and (former junior national representative) Jess van Stratten is now a fixture at Verona after first coming to Juve.
"They also have some very good keepers in England, Turkey, Denmark, Spain, The Netherlands and Germany. I think they have exported well.
"I thought it would be a great idea to run a goalkeeping school during the Italian mid-season break." |
