British Airways flight prepares for emergency landing | Quote: | August 13, 2006
A British Airways flight to New York has made an unscheduled landing at Heathrow airport after a terror alert on board. BBC and WikiNews Netherlands are reporting.
The scare was caused by a mobile phone, found on board ringing. No owner was found. Hand luggage is currently not allowed in the cabine.
The news came as the British security service MI5 downgraded the national terror alert from "Critical" to "Severe". |
